As the CNC Waterjet Machinist you learn how to operate and maintain the machine to produce quality product. This role will run the Waterjet machine, deburring equipment and follow 6-S procedures.
Job Title: CNC Water Jet Machinist
Location: Avon, OH
Shift: 1st (Monday through Friday 6 am to 230 pm)
Wage: $17 to $24 based on experience with reviews after 90 days
Duties/Responsibilities
Learn how to read production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting and translating engineering designs and documentation.
Learn to set up and operate a CNC Waterjet machine (FLOW) using programs and layouts to cut and trim parts from various materials (copper, aluminum, steel, plastic) according to specifications and with correct tolerances.
Learn how to maintain the equipment, maintain and perform daily and weekly TPM tasks, and keep the TPM board current.
Monitor production to ensure quality, verify and inspect the product, and machine the number of identical product units.
Ensuring the equipment is in top operating order, troubleshooting and resolving issues relating to the machine, and alerting the supervisor of repairs when needed.
Basic computer skills, including using Labor Trak, AutoCAD, and data collection.
Label, identify, and differentiate raw materials using various units of measurement, including pounds, per piece, and feet.
Learn to understand job operations routings, pick lists, and precision measuring tools, including tape measures, dial calipers, and gauge pins.
Using other equipment such as cranes, slings, and vacuum lifts safely and adequately.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly working environment.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications
1 to 3 years of assembly, CNC mill or lathe operating experience is preferred
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Comfortable using the metric system and being mechanically inclined.
Reading and comprehending blueprints and understanding G and M codes are preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written directions.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Basic computer skills or AutoCad experience is preferred
High School Diploma or GED.
Will be subject to a pre-employment screening.
