**Position Title:** Substitute Teacher

**Location:** Huron City Schools / Huron, OH

**Employment Type:** As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call

**Pay Rate:** $100/Day

**About the Role**

Dedicated School Staffing is seeking dependable, flexible, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to support schools when full-time teachers are unavailable. This role helps ensure continuity of learning by following lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students academic and social development.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher

* Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment

* Provide clear instruction and support to students throughout the school day

* Adapt to different grade levels and subject areas as needed

* Take attendance and complete required documentation

* Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators

* Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other assigned duties

**Required Qualifications**

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Valid substitute teaching license or higher teaching license (as required by state regulations)

* Clean criminal background check

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to various classroom environments

* Patience, professionalism, and a student-centered mindset

* Adherence to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Previous teaching or childcare experience

* Familiarity with classroom management techniques

* Experience working with diverse student populations
