Examples of Duties
Responsible for the safety and welfare of all persons using the facility.
Enforce all pool rules and the regulations governing the conduct of persons in the aquatics center in a friendly manner.
Rescue swimmers in distress or active drowning, and administers first aid in the event of injury.
Ability to administer first aid, including CPR and use of AED if necessary.
Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the aquatics center.
Assist with the vacuuming of the pools.
Check equipment for safety and report any concerns.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Supervisor and Head Guards.
Typical Qualifications
Maintain the ability to swim 300 yards front crawl and/or breaststroke and retrieve a 10 lb.
brick from depth of 13 feet.
Must hold a Current Lifeguard Certification from the American Red Cross or other accepted training organization.
