Accounting Manager, South Houston

Harmer has partnered with our manufacturing client to identify an Accounting Manager (or Senior Accountant) for a highly visible opportunity supporting a growing, multi-entity organization.
This role offers direct exposure to executive leadership, the ability to influence processes, and strong long-term growth potential.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
• Prepare and review financial reporting packages, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support consolidations and multi-entity accounting activities
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insight to leadership
• Partner with operations to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives
• Support audits, internal controls, and compliance efforts
• Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and accounting best practices
• Maintain oversight of general ledger activity, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership on business decisions and growth initiatives
Ideal background:
Experience and Education:
? 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
? Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and close processes
? Strong Excel skills and ERP experience
? Manufacturing, industrial, or multi-entity experience preferred but not required
? Process improvement mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
? Strong communication skills and desire for increased visibility with leadership
