Position Title:

Sr. Cloud Architect

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

Identify and solve key technology challenges related to migrating applications to cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Define target cloud architectures for applications, considering scalability, performance, security, and cost optimization.

Evaluate our current technology stack and recommend potential changes and modernizations necessitated by cloud adoption.

Lead the design and implementation of cloud migration strategies and execution plans, collaborating with engineering teams.

Architect solutions that leverage cloud-native services and emerging technologies to enhance application capabilities.

Address integration complexities between on-premise systems and cloud-based applications.

Proactively identify potential technology roadblocks and develop innovative solutions.

Guide the adoption of best practices for cloud infrastructure and application deployment, including automation and Infrastructure as Code.

Provide technical leadership in resolving complex issues arising from cloud migrations and new technology implementations.

Document architectural designs, decisions, and the rationale behind technology choices related to cloud and modernization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in technology roles, with a significant focus on architecture and cloud technologies.

Deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services.

Proven experience in migrating applications to the cloud and solving associated challenges.

Strong knowledge of application modernization patterns and cloud-native architectures (e.g., microservices, containers, serverless).

Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation tools.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written).

Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive technical solutions.

Understanding of cloud security best practices and architectural considerations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with specific cloud migration methodologies and frameworks.

Certifications in relevant cloud platforms or architectural domains.

Experience with performance optimization and cost management in cloud environments.
