Human Resources Manager, Hackensack

Our client, a professional services firm located in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and support HR operations for their growing team.
This role will oversee core HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, performance management, and HR policy implementation.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage HR initiatives in a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee relations • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent management processes • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures • Support performance management and employee development initiatives • Partner with leadership on organizational planning and workforce strategy • Manage benefits administration and HR systems • Handle sensitive HR matters with confidentiality and professionalism Qualifications • 5–10+ years of Human Resources experience, with leadership responsibility • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices • Experience managing employee relations and performance management • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced professional environment Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
