Accountant Jr, Hasbrouck Heights

Accounting Position
Essential duties:
Entering financial data and transactions into the accounting software
Prepare GL schedules and analysis
Maintain the bank reconciliation
Prepare and post journal entries
Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations
Help the senior accountants in closing the books monthly
Collaborating with AP/AR/Cash management to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
Preparing taxes or gathering tax documents
Maintain fixed assets register
Attend the periodical inventory count and correct pertinent information
Support in the external audit process and other ad-hoc requirements from the management
Qualifications:
Associate degree
3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred but not a must.
Excellent excel skills.
Analytical skills and attention to details.
Self starter, motivated and team player.
