Database Architect / MS SQL Developer

Designs and builds relational databases. This role is expected to go beyond the initial timeline and will be an ongoing role for now. As a Database Architect / MS SQL Developer with the NJ Client– Central Office, the candidate will design and build relational databases for various user interface applications. The candidate must be able to design, develop and manipulate database management systems. Requires a depth and breadth of database knowledge that shall help with formal design of relational databases. An ideal candidate will have worked with latest versions of MS SQL and written Stored Procedures extensively. If the candidate has developed MS SQL for UI, it would be helpful. Responsible for making sure an organization's strategic goals are optimized through the use of enterprise data standards. The candidate is expected to:Participate in JAD sessions with the user to determine application functional requirements Perform database documentation including table relation diagrams and data dictionary updates Perform database impact analysis Create/identify data structures to support modules and screens Create and modify complex stored procedures and provide assistance to the application developers during application integrationPerform advanced data cleanup functions Perform data conversions from legacy databases Analyze queries and stored procedures to enhance performance Perform backup and restore functions Perform database performance analysis Required Relevant Work Experience: 6 to 8 yrs.
