Audit Supervisor - Non Profit, Parsippany, NJ

Kforce's client, a regional public accounting firm in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an Audit Supervisor. This firm offers a competitive salary with a year-end bonus along with a good work life balance and benefits. Key Tasks:

• Audit Supervisor will be responsible for managing & performing audits, reviews and compilates for clients in the non-profit industry
• Identifies and communicates to management and audit committee suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures
• Identify and delegate functions of the audit to the auditor in charge as deemed appropriate
• Supervise the work of the audit team and review workpapers and conclusions preferably onsite during audit field work
• Identifies and consults with clients on the impact of new accounting pronouncements
• Presents and discuss alternative generally accepted accounting principles and arguments for/against such alternatives
• As an Audit Supervisor, you will draft complex financial statements and related footnote disclosures and effectively communicates these to client
• Identifies complex accounting issues and forms and documents resolution, seeking counsel of the firm's audit partners as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA or pursuing CPA
• Minimum 5+ years with public accounting audit for non-profit companies
• Experience with the yellow book is required
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff
