Join Our Team as a Field Technician
Be part of our team and bring your natural skills as a problem solver to our industrial electro-mechanical environment. We seek an experienced Field Technician who installs, aligns, balances, and troubleshoots mechanical/electrical such as motors, pumps, fans. Must have experience with equipment sizes over 200HP.What You Will Be Responsible for in This Position: Troubleshoot and test electro-mechanical equipment using various methods and testing equipment. While following company procedures for requisitioning and changing materials and parts, you will verify repairs using various start-up testing procedures. Operates specialized equipment including, but not limited to, laser alignment equipment, portable balancing equipment, megohmmeter, clamp-on ammeters, various kinds of hand-held power and non-power tools, etc. You will be called to observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially respiratory, eye, and ear protection), in accordance with E/B B30501 (current version). You will need to possess a basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.We Seek a Candidate with the Following Background: A minimum of 3 years' experience troubleshooting and testing electro-mechanical equipment using various methods and testing equipment as described above. Experienced in verifying repairs using various start-up testing procedures. Preferred level of education/experience: High School diploma plus some high school trade, vocational/technical school, military, or on-the-job machine shop training. A proven ability to understand and perform and retain various skill-related training and operational and safety procedures demonstrated by supervisor.This is a first shift position (6:30am - 3:pm) with ample opportunity for overtime (after 8-hour shift).
