Position Summary:

We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our client's Electrification and Energy Solutions Division in Mossville, IL. This team plays a key role in supporting Caterpillar's aggressive electrification and alternative power generation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating critical electrical conversion systems, including Bi-Directional Power Inverters (BDP), BEV chargers, and DC converters. You will work extensively in a lab environment and collaborate closely with cross-functional design and validation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform validation testing on charger and power inverter components.

Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and detailed test reports.

Collaborate with design and validation teams within Caterpillar's electrification initiatives.

Analyze test data and provide feedback to improve component and system performance.

Spend significant time in the lab environment working with high-voltage power electronics.

Engage in office-based design support, including reviewing electrical schematics and test results.

Ensure safety standards and test compliance in high-voltage testing environments.

Qualifications & Skills:

AS, BS, or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field.

Experience with power inverters, DC converters, or high-voltage systems.

Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

Strong understanding of electrical circuits and ability to read electrical schematics.

Prior experience in a lab testing environment is highly desirable.

Excellent documentation skills for test plans and reports.

Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
