We are seeking an elite Audit Master and Process Owner to spearhead our Food Safety and Quality Assurance initiatives. In this critical role, you will take full ownership of our SQF System, driving compliance, executing QA protocols, and ensuring food safety objectives are flawlessly met. Essential Duties&Responsibilities SQF Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System, including system elements, GMPs, and Food Safety Plans across all manufacturing and raw material locations. Audit Mastery: Serve as the ultimate authority on internal/external audits. Conduct rigorous internal inspections per SQF code; complete comprehensive yearly audits on product panels and allergen statements.Compliance Gatekeeper: Ensure absolute adherence to SQF Code, HACCP, FDA, and all federal, state, and customer quality mandates. Operational Control: Review and verify HACCP and production records with meticulous detail. Perform and validate random weight/temperature checks across production and packaging.Testing&Data Administration: Manage internal/external product sampling (sensory, micro) and environmental testing. Monitor quality metrics, analyze data, and report on lab results, product testing, and customer complaints. CAPA&Continuous Improvement: Spearhead non-conformance and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) processes. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, eliminate errors, and reduce food waste. SOPs&Training: Write and maintain SOPs for the Food Safety Management Program. Deliver dynamic food safety training to staff via Alchemy. Executive Reporting: Provide documented monthly updates to senior management on the health and maintenance of the SQF System. Key Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in the bakery or food manufacturing industry. Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (preferred). Certifications: Certified SQF Practitioner and HACCP Certification required. Skills: In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, strong problem-solving abilities, proficiency in quality management software, and exceptional cross-functional leadership. bilingual skills preferred.salary: $71,968 - $76,003 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
SQF&Compliance Leadership:
Lead, develop, implement, and maintain the SQF System, Food Safety Plans, and GMPs. Ensure adherence to federal, state, SQF, HACCP, company, and customer requirements. Quality Assurance Oversight:
Support QA technicians to ensure processes are followed effectively. Review and verify HACCP and production process records. Conduct internal audits and inspections per SQF code. Data&Testing Administration:
Coordinate internal/external product sampling (sensory, microbiology) and environmental testing. Monitor quality metrics, analyze data, and generate reports on lab results, product testing, customer complaints, and CAPAs. Operational Quality Control:
Perform and verify random weight and temperature checks on batter, baked, and finished products. Inspect incoming materials, validate raw ingredient and finished product specifications annually, and complete yearly audits on allergen statements and product panels. Corrective Action&Collaboration:
Manage non-conformance and CAPA processes with cross-functional teams to prevent issue recurrence. Partner with production teams to resolve quality issues, improve consistency, and reduce food waste. Documentation&Training:
Write, update, and maintain Food Safety Management SOPs. Deliver food safety training to employees through Alchemy. Document and provide monthly SQF updates to senior site management.
