You will work alongside industry-recognized engineers and scientists to develop innovative solutions for electricity generation, transmission, and delivery. Apply company policies and procedures in developing moderately complex work order designs for overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities. Prepare work orders and job packages, including bills of material, permit coordination, requisitions, site drawings, and construction drawings.Create and design work orders using client work management systems, design tools, and asset management systems. Identify standard overhead and underground distribution facilities and utility equipment. Conduct field data activities, including measuring, mapping, field photography, equipment inventory, and staking.Utilize technology tools such as laser range finder, digital camera, and cellular signal meter tool. Organize and document collected field data for use in design projects. Coordinate with client construction personnel and customers to resolve work site issues. Communicate effectively with clients and customers regarding schedules, commitments, project feasibility, timeframes, and expectations.Learn, practice, and promote all safety policies and procedures, ensuring the proper use of PPE. Lead, mentor, train, and provide technical support for teammates. Develop positive working relationships with clients and teammates. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Engage in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems. Work independently on moderately complex work orders and assist junior engineers and designers. Perform other duties as needed and assigned by management. Engage in occasional field work (5% to 20%) involving potential inclement weather and various terrains.Essential Skills

Associate's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported. Hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline. Knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline.Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Good verbal and written communication skills. Additional Skills&Qualifications

Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm. More than 2 years of Distribution Design experience. Experience with BOUD. Substation, Substation design, Electrical, Substation engineering, Distribution design, Transmission, Power distribution, Utility design, Distribution engineering, Power&utilities, Electrical engineering, Engineering design, previous TDP and power experience, Power delivery, Engineering, Autocad, Microstation, Drafting, Cad. Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment, combining office presence in Phoenix, Tucson, or Albuquerque 2 to 3 times a week with remote work on other days.
