Description:
Responsibilities
1. Monitor Building Alarms and be the first responder.
2. Evaluate Alarms and coordinate support if needed.
3. Alarms could originate from
• Central Utility Plant (Boilers, Chillers)
• HVAC (Room temp alarms for critical storage areas)
• Fire Alarm System
• Life Safety (gas / leak detection)
• Process Water systems
• Neutralization Systems
• Refrigeration / cold storage warehouse.
4. Perform basic troubleshooting within the realm of training
5. Monitor buildings and generators during storm/power outages. Ensure power back-up systems (generators, inverters) perform as designed.
6. Requires a valid driver license to drive a company vehicle to local warehouse across the street from main campus.
7. Responding to fire alarms will require specialized training on-site with our Site safety team.
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma
• 3 years related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Preferable to have 5 years experience in a Life Science, Diagnostic or Pharmaceutical Building / Campus.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Experience with a Building Management Systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: written (business e-mail, technical documents, programs) and verbal (meeting leading, presentation, and training).
• Ability to act independently and use problem solving skills.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Google Docs, Gmail, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledgeable in high pressure boiler plant operations and industrial refrigeration.
• Requires a valid drivers license and ability to drive company pick-up truck to off site warehouses.
