The Opportunity You'll lead a flagship civil engineering office for a well-established engineering consultancy, overseeing operations, driving business growth, and guiding a team of engineers and surveyors.

Your Day-to-Day Lead and develop your team — mentor engineers and surveyors, provide technical guidance and training, and foster ongoing professional growth
Oversee civil engineering design — direct reports, calculations, construction drawings, and specifications from concept through delivery
Ensure quality and accountability — conduct technical reviews of staff work, deliverables, and correspondence while maintaining and improving QA/QC procedures
Solve complex engineering challenges — troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations that keep projects on time, within scope, and on budget
Drive business development — build and maintain strong client relationships, develop project proposals and scopes, and pursue new opportunities with both existing and prospective clients
Represent the firm externally — engage with clients, agencies, and professional organizations to strengthen the office's visibility and industry presence
Improve internal operations — support enhancements to tools, standards, and resources that raise the quality and efficiency of the team's output
What We're Looking For Licensed Professional Engineer with strong technical skills in civil engineering design
Proven experience preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, and providing construction-phase engineering support
Demonstrated leadership, staff management, and mentoring capabilities
Track record of solving complex engineering problems
Experience developing detailed reports, client proposals, project scopes, and budgets
Strong regional client relationships with a proven ability to generate new business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in standard software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
