Logistics Representative, Pennsylvania

Description:
CTG is seeking to fill a Logistics Representative opening for our client in Pittsburgh, PA.

 

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

 

Duties:

Monitor daily activities at assigned 3rd party logistics (3PL) facilities across the US and Canada to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods

Complete inbound and outbound inventory transactions using SAP ERP system

Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution across internal and external partners

Maintain inventory and asset accuracy according to established policies and procedures

Develop, audit, and modify operational procedures for warehouses, bulk terminals, and transload operations

Train and support 3PL provider personnel on logistics procedures and requirements

Participate in physical inventory audits and lead internal cycle count processes for assigned locations

Set standards and procedures for the accurate and timely payment of invoices, consistent with operational contracts and purchase orders

Implement cost allocations agreed upon with internal business units

Tender (assign) bulk transportation shipments and manage order changes using SAP ERP and a 3rd-party transportation management system

Coordinate with order management, carriers, and shipping sites to ensure efficient product movement and equipment availability

Provide backup coverage for other areas within Warehousing & Bulk Terminal Operations and Transportation Operations

Skills:

Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, and warehouse operations

Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems

Ability to analyze and resolve operational issues in a timely manner

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams

Experience:

2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations

Experience working with 3PL providers is preferred

Familiarity with inventory control and distribution systems

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred

Equivalent work experience will be considered

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
