Oxford Solutions has a direct hire opening with our client for a Land Planner.
The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Land Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field along with 3 to 4 years of related land planning experience.
Responsibilities
Lead the land development entitlement and land use entitlement process for various projects.
Develop and present land use plans, site layouts, and related documents to clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to create cohesive and sustainable development plans.
Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to inform planning decisions.
Prepare and submit applications for zoning, rezoning, and other necessary approvals.
Engage with local government officials, community members, and other stakeholders to address concerns and secure project approvals.
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Stay updated on changes in zoning laws, land use regulations, and planning best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Land Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
AICP certification a plus
3 to 5 years of experience in land planning development and processes.
Strong knowledge of zoning laws, regulations, and environmental policies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in planning software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite).
