This position will work on-site at The Aquatic Center in Mylan Park, West Virginia. The Aquatic Center includes a community pool, an Olympic-sized competition pool, outdoor splash pad, dynamic fitness room, outdoor track and so much more. It has become a local hub of sports tourism by hosting elite-level regional and national Aquatics and Track events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely instruct client or team through an effective training session Provide quality customer service to all clients and potential clients, regardless of skill level, appearance, or otherwise Ensure client safety Communicate effectively with the supervisor through phone, email, or in person Enforce all program policies and procedures as it pertains to the sport development programEnforce all building policies and procedures and assist as needed during emergencies Attend all sport instructor and necessary all-department staff meetings Safely instruct effective, creative sport practices or private lessons Provide quality customer service to all participants in class, regardless of fitness level, appearance, or otherwiseCommunicate effectively with supervisor through phone, email, or in person Enforce all program policies and procedures as it pertains to the sport and program Enforce all building policies and procedures and assist as needed during emergencies Attend all necessary meetings and trainings Other duties as requiredRequirements

Possess current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications Leadership and supervisory abilities Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm Excellent organizational, and written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently Knowledge of standard practices in recreational sports Ability to thrive in an environment that values high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestylesCompetencies

Proficiency with sport knowledge and coaching techniques Proficient with developing plan for continued growth in athletes' skills Human Relations

Internal contacts include staff at all levels. External contacts include external customers and vendors. Contact involves troubleshooting, informing, exchanging information, negotiating, making recommendations, and giving information or instructions. Physical Demands

Standing or walking for at least 50% of the work day Occasional bending, stooping Hearing and talking Work Environment

Office environment/fitness center environment Moderate to loud noise Evening and/or weekend work as required
