Job Summary
The Ambulatory Clinical Educator will assess, plan/develop, implement and evaluate learning/resource needs related to orientation and continuing education needs.
Coordinates, develops and presents educational programs designed to maintain, enhance and assess job performance and competencies for Ambulatory clinical staff.
Conducts observations in the form of "work with" to maintain knowledge of positions and assess needs.
Provides feedback regarding to staff performance.

Collaborates with ambulatory leaders to assess staff the learning needs and competency gaps.
Planning and Design
Facilitates a variety of learning experiences using a range of instructional methods.
Makes recommendations for remediation based on individual staff performance assessment.
Facilitates the adult learning process, creating a climate which supports learning.
Implementation and Delivery
Teaches content as needed to facilitate orientation, development and safe practice.
Coordinates activities when utilizing external resources.
Maintains accurate and timely education files.
Evaluation
Evaluates the effectiveness of education, including content and teaching strategies.
Utilizes a variety of methods, measurements, observation to evaluation achievement of learning goals.
Personal Development and Growth
Maintains strong knowledge of current healthcare practices, policy and regulations and incorporates evidence-based practice into training design and development.
Models and promotes the concept of life-long learning.
Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical policies and practice and professional development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Heavy Work- Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting.
Prior experience in educator role preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of staff development and program development.
