Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery Location: Morristown, NJ Duration: 3 +Months (Possibility of extension) Shift Time: Night Shift| 36hr/3 Shift week | Every other weekend & holidays required Local Pay Range: $*****/hr on W2 Travel Pay Range: $3,******/Weekly including stipend ($1,******) Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Delivery Room provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric populations.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced nursing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a perioperative and obstetric setting.
Responsibilities Include: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and deliver individualized, age-appropriate care, ensuring accurate clinical judgment and timely interventions.
Provide high-quality direct patient care using strong clinical skills, including emergency response, adherence to care standards, and effective use of medical equipment.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of patient care, progress, and education in compliance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
Ensure patient safety by following established protocols, including patient identification, safe handling techniques, and National Patient Safety Goals.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote a patient-centered environment and ensure a high level of patient satisfaction while maintaining confidentiality.
Deliver perioperative and delivery room care, including patient education, pre- and post-procedure support, and coordination of pre-admission testing (PAT) to ensure readiness and continuity of care.
Required Certifications & Licence: Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) NJ or Compact State License BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
