This is a hybrid position based in Bernardsville, New Jersey, offering flexibility while maintaining regular connection with our litigation team, courts, clients, and case work.

Note:

Candidates must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar and have 1-3 years of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience is preferred but not required unless directly applicable.

Job Description

Assist with civil litigation and insurance defense matters from early case development through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal correspondence, and client reports. Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy, liability analysis, damages analysis, and case valuation.Support depositions, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and courts. Manage litigation deadlines, case files, discovery responses, and assigned tasks. Work closely with senior attorneys while developing greater independence and responsibility.Maintain accurate billable time and provide quality client service. Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school. Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing. 1-3 years of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense, general liability, construction litigation, auto liability, products liability, or property damage experience preferred. Strong legal writing, research, communication, and analytical skills.Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced litigation environment. Comfortable appearing in court, handling discovery, and communicating professionally with clients and counsel.
