Cyme Engineering/Technical - Engineer (Hybrid), South Plainfield

HEPCO Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CYME Engineer to support our client's electrical distribution system modeling and analysis initiatives.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the organization's CYME platform to support planning, operations, reliability improvements, and engineering analysis across the electric distribution network.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of utility distribution systems, data integration, and electrical network modeling, along with the ability to collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve model accuracy and usability.
Responsibilities Update, maintain, and correct CYME equipment and network records Identify data quality gaps and implement corrective actions Integrate data from GIS, SCADA, AMI, and other enterprise systems into CYME Support users experiencing issues with CYME modeling and system functionality Develop user documentation, best practices, and operational workflows Assist with electrical system studies, analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to ensure accurate and effective model performance Required Qualifications Experience working with the CYME platform and electrical distribution system modeling Strong understanding of electric utility distribution systems Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage and maintain large sets of engineering and system data Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience integrating utility enterprise systems such as GIS, SCADA, and AMI Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Python or SQL Utility industry experience supporting distribution operations or planning environments Work Environment Hybrid work schedule Onsite presence is required Tuesdays and Wednesdays at:40 Cragwood Rd, South Plainfield, NJ Benefits: Health Insurance Sick time 401k Pay Range: $***** - $***** per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
