Description
A large CPG client of ours is looking for a Toxicologist to collaborate with R&D, formulation, and clinical teams to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of ingredients and finished products across the product lifecycle. This role is responsible for evaluating and approving raw materials, ingredients, and formulations, with a focus on identifying and mitigating potential toxicological risks (e.g., Prop 65 considerations), operating in a highly independent capacity, the toxicologist reviews and approves materials and products within internal systems, provides safety assessments for new product development (NPD) and lifecycle management (LCM) changes, and supports safety releases for human testing and product launch. The role also ensures internal substantiation requirements are met, even outside of formal FDA submission processes.Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ingredient safety data, supporting product testing readiness, and advising on formulation decisions to ensure safe and compliant product development. This position involves regular interaction with technical project leaders, formulation scientists, and clinical affairs teams, primarily in a systems-based office environment.
