SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS Performs the duties of meeting the production schedule from an equipment and materials function to ensure efficient and on-time production schedules in accordance with safety and quality standards. 3.0 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Prepares Equipment and shift (materials, machine, conveyors, grinders,
thermolators......) a. Performs mold changes in accordance with the production schedule b. Clean and prepare grinders. c. Make sure machines (chutes, conveyors, grinders.....) are setup in a way that there is no waste and parts falling on floor. d. Identifies and changes needed to the blue books.e. Ensures blue books are at the press for the job running. f. Makes sure blue books are put in proper location when not being used. g. Ensures proper material is being used h. Makes material for jobs as needed. i. Identifies materials that need to be reordered j. Schedules operators press assignments2. Preforms Preventative Maintenance a. Preform PM on all equipment per PM schedule b. Document all PM activities c. Helps develop, control, and improve PM schedule 3. Fix, Repair and Install a. Identify and correct or coordinate the repair any items that are not to standard b. Fix or coordinate the repair any items that are broken or in need of repair.c. Install, and/or coordinate the installation of items 4. Tooling a. Preforms general maintenance to injection molding tools b. Changes inserts c. Preforms repairs d. Orders replacement parts and spare parts e. Changes Date wheels 5. Find ways to reduce scrap and waste a. Identify ways to reduce scrapb. Identify ways to reduce waste. Waste can be time, resources, scrap,
inefficiencies..... 6. Performs other manufacturing duties as required 7. Shipping receiving: a. Pulls and prepares orders for outgoing shipments per“Shipping and Receiving” procedure. b. Receives and puts away shipments per“Shipping and Receiving” procedure. 8. Cleanliness a. Cleans after them selves b. Cleans at end of shift. 9. Other Duties as needed
