Overview:
Salary Range: $27 - $34 per hour/DOE
Location: 266 Left Fork Hobble Creek Canyon, Springville, UT 84663
Schedule: 3 days per week (minimum 2 days on site). 20 hours per week.

The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function for the program and the primary role is to ensure that Springville's HR policies, procedures and practices align with the overall business objectives and support a positive work environment. More specifically the HR Manager is responsible for the full employee life-cycle from interviewing, selection and orientation to training, talent management, retention and ensuring compliance with record-keeping and compliance with state, local and federal employment laws
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and selection: support the recruitment and selection process including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and job offers for the
Work closely with program management to remain updated as to staffing needs.
Assist with scheduling and the review of new hire onboarding and orientation.
Educate employees regarding personnel file requirements and benefit options.
Maintain a current electronic personnel file for each employee that is accurate and up to date.
Administer changes and updates in the HRIS system.
Communicate information and participate in meetings with support office HR director and team.
Employee engagement: foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement initiatives.
Ensure State and Joint Commissions guidelines are observed.
Coordinate state and company background checks and pre-employment screens.
Serve as key point of contact for all drug test related issues.
Communicate monthly with employees and supervisors when training, tests, etc. at are expiring or have not been completed.
Employee relations: promote positive employee relations by resolving conflicts, conducting investigation, and providing guidance on employee-related matters.
Performance management: ensure performance processes and systems are implemented and followed as part of the employee development program.
Participate in leadership meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of HR management practices and approaches.
Knowledge of federal and state laws.
Knowledge of performance management administration.
Knowledge of legal recruiting and selection practices.
Skill in editing job descriptions, creating memorandums, emails, and letters.
Skill in use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Skill in interviewing technique and process.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
Able to pass a background check and required pre-screens.
Ability to build positive relationships with a team as well as work independently.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Proven work experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
