Job Description

Scott Community High School is hiring a Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position requires: Plan a program for students that follows district guidelines and meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.Guide the learning process toward the mastery of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects. Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required by policy and as requested by the building principal. Assist in the referral and diagnosis of students with learning difficulties, seeking assistance from district specialists as needed.Take necessary and reasonable measures to protect students, equipment, materials, and equipment. Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and/or state guidelines. Adhere to and enforce all policies, rules, and regulations of the board of education as stated in the Board Policy Handbook.Carry out and observe all administrative rules and directives as set forth by the principal and superintendent. Observe established duty hours of the school day. Attend all building faculty meetings and curriculum meetings as scheduled. Strive to improve professional performance and competence.Employ best teaching practices in the classroom. Perform other duties as assigned by the administration and board of education.
