Sales Development Representative / Business Development Representative

International company with unique water technology for the Wastewater industry is hiring a SDR / BDR in the Raleigh area. Individual will be responsible for generating business opportunities in the water utilities sector in the US market and should have some experience in the Municipality Water / Wastewater or Utility industries.The SDR will be tasked with identifying and contacting potential new customers in the North American market. A large part of the role will be cold calling and generating leads. They will work with the companys General Manager in the Southeast to assist in the sales process from start-to-end. Responsibilities:Conduct outbound prospecting activities to generate new business opportunities in the water utilities sector. Conduct research on potential customers and identify key decision-makers to target. Qualify and nurture leads through email, phone, and social media outreach. Schedule meetings and demos for the National Sales Manager and Account Executives.Follow up with leads to ensure a positive customer experience and gather feedback. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and messaging to generate new leads and support lead generation efforts. Track and report on sales metrics, including pipeline growth and conversion rates. Continuously learn about our product, the wastewater management sector, and the competitive landscape to effectively position the company and educate potential customers.Qualifications: 1 - 3 years in SDR / BDR or Sales. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the water / utilities sector. Experience working with SaaS solutions Proven track record of achieving sales targets. Demonstrate outbound prospecting experience. Strong understanding of the water utilities industry.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up on leads in a timely manner. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to change.
