ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY The Sullivan County District Attorneys Office currently staffs eleven (11) Assistant District Attorneys and presently offers amongst the highest entry level salary in all of New York State with a lower cost of living than most other counties. The Sullivan County District Attorneys Office welcomes experienced prosecutors who will immediately handle high-level and serious felonies from pre-indictment through jury trial. Experienced attorneys will also enjoy significant prosecutorial freedom and be able to exercise sound independent judgment. Entry-level Assistant District Attorneys will be provided with training and begin in justice court handling both misdemeanor and felony offenses under supervision. The ADAs will also present cases to the Sullivan County Grand Jury and then ultimately handle felony trials under supervision. We are actively seeking an attorney who is a self-starter, has a strong work ethic, and believes in holding those who commit crimes accountable. The ideal candidate will have superior oral and written communication skills, a strong character, strong interpersonal skills, and be able to thrive in a high paced working environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be admitted to the New York State Bar, and be a member in good standing. SALARY: $90,000.00-$115,000.00, commensurate with experience.
