About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Information Technology to lead the implementation of strategies and the selection of technologies that enhance workflows and business practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for technology improvement, I/T staff, and infrastructure, and will play a key role in advising on and monitoring budgets for new technologies.
This role requires a hands-on approach, with the expectation that the VP will be available for consulting and must eventually be self-reliant.
Managerial experience with a small I.T. staff, as well as experience in the management of IBM I and SQL Server databases, is essential.
A good working knowledge of SQL, experience in application modernization, and a background in manufacturing and distribution, particularly with warehouse management systems, are also necessary.
Applicants for the VP of Information Technology position at the company should be prepared to establish technology vision and goals, manage cyber security, and oversee the modernization of applications.
The role demands the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, as well as the capacity to build strong interpersonal relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a broad vision but be detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate problem prevention and resolution capabilities.
An advanced degree is preferred, and several years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment, including ERP systems and warehouse management systems, is required.
The VP will be expected to manage I/T costs, analyze I/T systems for effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvement, as well as to research and assess new technologies for their suitability in streamlining internal operations and optimizing strategic benefits.
