Location: Hybrid | Rancho Cucamonga (Monday & Friday Remote) (Tuesday - Thursday Onsite)

Data masking experience using Delphix is required. 

Overview:

The Engineer III – Test Data Management is a lead-level position responsible for overseeing enterprise-level test data management and ensuring the protection of PHI data across multiple test environments. This role involves using data masking tools and procedures to support software, hardware, applications, and test data needs. The position works closely with Test Environment Management Engineers to prepare test environments for execution teams and collaborates across departments to meet organizational goals. This is a senior role that also includes training and guiding junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze existing test data across environments and identify gaps and security risks

Develop and execute comprehensive test data management strategies and plans

Lead enterprise-level test data management initiatives across applications and environments

Provision on-demand, self-service test data for various project needs

Perform in-flight data masking for structured and unstructured data while ensuring referential integrity

Configure test data based on user-defined criteria across multiple projects

Synthesize test data from production environments

Integrate test data management into CI/CD pipelines using open APIs

Set up integrated test data across test environments for multiple connected applications

Use APIs to refresh, rewind, and version data alongside source code

Research and implement automated test data generation tools

Automatically locate and mask sensitive data values

Address application and business team inquiries related to obfuscated data in non-production environments

Deliver virtualized data for development, testing, integration, and UAT environments

Store and version control virtual datasets efficiently, pairing with specific test cases

Create templates to support test data file generation in formats like HL7, CCDA, and X12

Build complex data reconciliation scripts for validating volume data in ETL and integration testing

Collaborate with Test Environment Management, support teams, vendors, and integration teams to ensure timely delivery

Train and guide Engineer I and II team members in test data management practices

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field

Minimum 8 years of experience in information systems and quality engineering

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in test data management

Proven ability to develop and implement data quality standards and methodologies

Experience with data masking, setting up integrated test data, and writing complex SQL queries

Experience collaborating with external vendors and using test automation and CI/CD tools

Strong technical background with a demonstrated ability to manage test data across project lifecycles

Key Qualifications:

Valid California Driver's License

Strong understanding of test data management tools and practices

Knowledge of data obfuscation techniques, test lifecycle, Agile, SDLC, and ITIL frameworks

Familiarity with DevOps and QA best practices

Ability to estimate and manage the setup effort required for end-to-end test data across environments
