Responsibilities:
The Patient Advocate serves as a liaison between patients, families, and the Reading Hospital as a means to fulfill the right of patients and their representatives to be able to file a complaint, as well as to provide meaningful response and resolution to quality of care concerns. The Patient Advocate may propose actions and/or contribute advisement on identified opportunities for improvements to Patient Experience. The Patient Advocate must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate assistance to help meet the service and support needs of patients and families and be a resource for staff regarding Patient Rights and Experience.
