Title: Pharmacist

Location: Reading, PA

Job Type: FTE/Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Position Overview:

As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy relationships with our healthcare clients. This includes engaging with clinic providers and their clinical staff, providing drug-related education, and acting as a member of the patient care team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide support and education to patients on their medications.

Manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, addressing knowledge gaps through education and training.

Oversee pharmacy operations, including:

Patient Safety

Pharmacy Professional Practice

Regulatory Requirements

Quality Assurance

Customer Service

Personnel Management

Inventory Management

Financial Profitability

Loss Prevention

Workflow Management

Stay current with compliance requirements, including HIPAA and other related credentialing.

Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and procedural guidelines.

Ensure pharmacy and staff compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures.

Required Education & Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Current License to practice as a PharmD.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Experience:

Previous leadership experience is helpful.

Ability to utilize a Patient Management System in the pharmacy.

3 years of related pharmacy experience preferred.

Skills and Certifications:

Experience within a Retail Pharmacy setting as a Pharmacy Manager.

Familiarity with leading staff and implementing strategies to increase prescriptions and customer engagement.
