Insight Global is seeking a Senior Application / Solution Architect for a large enterprise transportation and logistics client. This individual will play a critical role in shaping and rebuilding the organization's application architecture practice. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on application development experience, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to influence teams and leadership without requiring ramp-up time or hand-holding. This role works closely with application and operational teams, leads architecture reviews, develops proofs of concept, and ensures that architectural decisions balance business needs, timelines, and technical best practices at an enterprise scale.

10+ years of IT application development

Experience designing custom applications at an Architecture level (Microservices Architecture, API's, Containerization Technologies)

not operational or infrastructure only

Strong background in Java Application development

Excellent communications skills with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to translate business requirements into practical architecture decisions

Experience making real work tradeoff decisions (time, cost, resources, vs. needing Architectural purity)

Generalized Kubernetes or Open-Shift experience

General containerization experience Open-shift
