Assistant Branch Manager

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in attaining branch goals and maintaining a service environment by identifying financial solutions. The Assistant Branch Manager assumes responsibilities of the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager. Major responsibilities include conducting daily team huddles, meeting performance goals, planning and implementing activities that promote referrals, managing branch operations and teller functions, ensuring branch staff provides prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers, ensuring branch follows all operating and compliance guidelines, ensuring branch successfully passes annual reviews and audits, administering HR policies and procedures, ensuring assigned staff scheduling meets customer demands, operating within assigned budget guidelines and expense controls.Other responsibilities include performing branch duties when necessary to ensure prompt, efficient service to customers, maintaining a current understanding of Bank procedures and policies, maintaining a current understanding of and complying with regulations, and performing other work-related duties as assigned.Education, experience and other skills required include a high school diploma or GED required, undergraduate degree preferred, ability to lead and direct others, appropriate management experience required, excellent written and verbal communication skills, above average working knowledge of Bank products and teller operations systems, ability to utilize personal computers and Windows driven programs, and maintaining a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws.Physical requirements may include lifting up to 25 pounds.
