The Perks of the Senior Accountant Role
$85,000/yr maximum
Brooklyn, NY (Bushwick/Ridgewood area); hybrid schedule—typically 3 to 4 days in-office during onboarding, then alternates 3 days/2 days in-office/remote weekly, Friday remote
Accessible via public transit (F and J lines)

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
Own bank and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy for monthly close
Support year-end audit preparation and assist with schedules, documentation, and variance explanations
Collaborate with accounting manager and controller on entries, adjustments, and reporting
Contribute to NetSuite system migration, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Must-Have Skills/Experience
Three or more years of accounting experience with strong GL and bank reconciliation background
Track record of supporting full month-end close processes
Proficiency with Excel; able to perform data analysis and reconcile complex accounts
Nonprofit experience (Preferred)
Audit support experience (Preferred)
