JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Event Project Manager (Part-time)
Department: Advance Placement
Location: Remote - ideal if the person is willing to attend "some" of the onsite events (all across the US) but not required and not always (expenses paid, of course)
Job Type: Part-Time - estimate about 30 hours per week
Duration: Start ASAP and will review every 6 months, but a long term, ongoing need
Ideal Profile: an ideal candidate is a person who has solid experience in both onsite and virtual event planning and project management from concept to post-event follow up; excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail. able to effectively prioritize tasks and monitor to completion. The events range from 50-100 people and cvent and salesforce are required.
Budget: we expect to see candidates in the -/hour pay range.
Process: please submit detailed submission notes as to why the person fits this role and include LI profile > .5 video interview w/Jason followed by a .75-1.0 team interview > remote onboarding/orientation.

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Part-Time Event Project Manager to support the planning and execution of events that align with our brand and business goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing details, and can work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage events from concept through execution, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site support.
Develop and maintain event timelines, task lists, and budgets.
Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless event delivery.
Assist with venue selection, contract negotiation, and vendor sourcing.
Oversee event registration, guest communications, and post-event feedback collection.
Ensure all events comply with safety, legal, and brand standards.
Provide on-site support during events, including setup, execution, and breakdown (as needed).
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in event planning or project coordination.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in event planning tools (e.g., Cvent, Salesforce, Jira).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with virtual or hybrid event platforms.
Familiarity with budgeting and cost tracking.
Creative problem-solving and adaptability.
