Description
Overview:
We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on Growth Manager to lead business development initiatives within our Federal IT practice. This role requires a strong mix of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and executional expertise to drive opportunities from initial lead through to proposal submission.

Responsibilities:
Full-Lifecycle Growth Leadership: Own the end-to-end Federal IT business development process—from market research and lead generation to qualification, capture, solutioning, and proposal submission.

Lead Identification & Qualification: Proactively discover and assess opportunities aligned with our strengths in system modernization and custom application development through direct outreach, networking, and analysis.

Client Engagement: Build and nurture long-term relationships with Federal stakeholders. Engage directly to understand mission needs and translate them into compelling solutions.

Capture Management: Drive capture strategies for qualified opportunities, including teaming approaches, stakeholder engagement, competitive assessments, intelligence gathering, and Go/No-Go decisions.

Solution Development & Proposal Strategy: Partner with delivery and technical teams to craft innovative, client-centric solutions and win strategies for Federal modernization efforts.

Proposal Development and Strategy: Take ownership of proposal efforts, collaborating with technical teams to develop tailored solutions and winning proposal strategies that shape clear, compliant, and compelling responses aligned with customer goals and evaluation criteria.

Agile & DevSecOps Expertise: Apply your knowledge of Agile frameworks, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation to solution design and proposal development.

 

Industry Representation: Serve as a thought leader by representing Karsun at conferences, events, and through publications to elevate the company’s profile and build market presence within the Federal IT Community.

Qualifications and Education:
 

Required Qualifications

10–15 years of progressive, hands-on experience in business development or growth roles in the Federal IT sector, with a strong focus on systems modernization and application development.

Proven track record with managing the full opportunity lifecycle, from lead generation through proposal submission.

$100M+ in closed Federal IT contracts over the past 5 years, including wins in modernization, custom development, and implementation of modern development practices.

7+ years of hands-on experience applying Agile methodologies, DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation technologies in the development and proposal of IT solutions for Federal clients.

7+ years of direct involvement in Federal proposal development.

Proven track record of engaging Federal clients, understanding mission requirements, and translating them into winning technical and programmatic solutions.

Compensation:
The proposed salary range for this role is $ to $ USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
