Project Architect

We're seeking a Project Architect to lead the technical delivery of complex architectural projects from concept through construction. This role works closely with the Technical Leader, Project Manager, and Project Designer to ensure design intent, coordination, and technical excellence are fully realized.As a licensed professional, you will serve as Architect of Record, leading QA/QC efforts, signing and sealing drawings, and mentoring team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing studio culture. Key Responsibilities

Lead technical execution and coordination of architectural projects across all phases Serve as Architect of Record, signing and sealing documents in compliance with regulatory standards Translate design intent into accurate, coordinated construction documents Direct and mentor staff producing drawings and technical documentationCoordinate with structural, MEP, and specialty consultants Establish and manage BIM standards, workflows, and documentation strategies Oversee QA/QC reviews and ensure technical accuracy and consistency Lead Construction Phase Services: RFIs, submittals, site visits, and field reviews Apply building codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsCommunicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction Support business development efforts, proposals, and client presentations as needed Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture Licensed Architect with active registration 10+ years of experience on technically complex projects through construction Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, construction methods, and codes Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination Experience developing BIM standards and project workflowsProficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Experience with manufacturing, commercial, light industrial, laboratory, clean-room, or R&D facilities preferred Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint a plus Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and coordinate consultants Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Work Environment&Culture

Hybrid 4/9 schedule with half-day Fridays Typical remote days: Tuesdays and Fridays In-office collaboration focused on design reviews and coordination Culture centered on technical excellence, mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth Periodic site visits and client/consultant meetings requiredJob Type&Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
