· The job location is in Plano, Texas
· Monday thru Friday: 6:00 am to 4:40 pm
· Must be flexible to work on Saturday
· Temp to Perm
Position Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and specifications.
This role involves inspecting materials, in-process production, and finished goods to identify defects, ensure compliance, and support continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions
- Work with production teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections
- Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration status
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection techniques
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Certification such as CWI, CQI, or similar (depending on industry)
- Experience using CMM equipment or advanced inspection tools
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing or shop environment
- Standing for extended periods
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Good vision (corrected acceptable) for detailed inspections
- Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools
