Must be available to work weekends and holidays Essential duties and responsibilities:Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging as much independence as possible. Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships. Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions. Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties.Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls. Know each resident's location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located. Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.Attend all required in-service training sessions. Be an active member of the community's emergency response team. Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies. Minimum requirements: High School diploma or GED required. 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail. Understanding of HIPAA requirements. EOE/M/F/D/V
