Position Summary

This role involves leading other service technicians, designing solutions for complex problems, managing outside contractors, being on call for emergencies, handling multiple projects and daily activities, and meeting timelines. You will develop plans to achieve departmental and operational goals.

Position Description

Perform repair, corrective, project, and preventive maintenance tasks urgently and safely.

Recommend changes to proactive programs to increase machine uptime.

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.

Troubleshoot PLC programs, ladder logic, components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices), and communication modules (Ethernet).

Mentor junior technicians by providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.

Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization.

Understand electrical schematics, control logic, and use volt and ohm meters effectively.

Complete all safety training as assigned and comply with safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Perform additional duties/assignments as required by management.

Work all days and shifts, including overtime (10 hours a day, 4 days a week operation, including holidays). Friday overtime is frequently scheduled.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education / Work Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two-year Technical Mechatronics degree preferred.

Six years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment as a maintenance technician.
