Operations Support Specialist II
The Operations Support Specialist II position provides a wide range of operational support activities for the regional and local office organization within Pike Engineering. The incumbent will support client interaction up to and including time and expense processing and invoice preparation. This position is critical to ensure the day to day office operations are organized and functional. Strong organization skills and communications skills are critical to the successful performance of this role.Under supervision the Operations Support Specialist II position is expected to be able to perform all the functions of the Operations Support Specialist I position plus the following as needed: Moderately routine: general policies applied. Some decision making. Influences decisions of moderate nature requiring high degree of tact.Provides guidance and on-the-job training to Operations Support Specialist I position and checks their work as appropriate and assigned by management To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience Required High school degree or GED. Preferred Associates degree (AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school). 1-3 Year(s) Experience in Operations Support Specialist I role or other similar experience None Significant time spent in on-the-job training for first 3-6 months in role.Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operational procedures, etc. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.The following skills and abilities are required to perform the functions of this job: Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including
