Structural Engineer – Industrial Power Plant

18 month plus assignment. 

Location: Bryon, IL. 61010

Per Diem: 2025 per diem rate for Byron, IL, is $178 per day, which includes $110 for lodging and $68 for meals and incidental expenses (M&IE).

· Prefer 4 years of experience or more (negotiable).

· B.S. & M.S. in Structural Engineering recommended.

· Experience in Structural Design Engineering required for industrial plants

· Provided designs for piping, motors, structures, transformers, heavy equipment, etc.

· Facilitated structural issues such as equipment vibration, piping vibrations, etc.

· Desire previous experience with Extended or Stretch Type Power Uprates (EPU or SPU), Turbine Replacements (Turbine Retrofits), Nuclear Main Generator Replacements, Steam Generator Replacements

· Previous experience with power plant systems analysis (containment validations, reactor embrittlement, license extensions, vibration analysis & mitigation, etc.).

· Authoring/developing design change packages in accordance with IP-ENG-001 industry design process.

· Provide design engineering support for nuclear power plant refueling outages.
