JOB DESCRIPTION:

Authoring/developing design change packages in accordance with IP-ENG-001 industry design process

Provide design engineering support for nuclear power plant refueling outages

Required to have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 20 years engineering experience performing program and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations.

Provides knowledge and experience to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.

Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. Provide complete task management of engineering issues.

Directs and guides other engineers in their work.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Prefer 4 years of experience or more (negotiable)

B.S. & M.S. in Structural Engineering recommended

Experience in Structural Design Engineering required for industrial plants

Provided designs for piping, motors, structures, transformers, heavy equipment, etc.

Facilitated structural issues such as equipment vibration, piping vibrations, etc.

Desire previous experience with Extended or Stretch Type Power Uprates (EPU or SPU)

Turbine Replacements (Turbine Retrofits), Nuclear Main Generator Replacements, Steam Generator Replacements

Previous experience with power plant systems analysis (containment validations, reactor embrittlement, license extensions, vibration analysis & mitigation, etc.)
