Plastic Products Supervisor

Directs and supervises all activities of assigned shift to ensure scheduled production is achieved and quality standards are met. Essential Job Functions

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in molding plastic products, applying knowledge of molding machine setup and operating techniques and production machining methods: Reads operating logs to identify inoperative molding machines, determines reasons for machine malfunction, and arranges for machine repair.Responsible in making sure all the necessary components and packaging supplies are verified and log-in the Lot #'s. Interaction with Quality Team, Mold Technician and Maintenance in making sure manufacturing process and products meets expectation. Provide accurate information on productivity and physical finished goods from the warehouse.Follow-up and monitor operator's conformance in quality and Work Standards. Reviews production schedules and work orders, and assigns duties to workers according to order priorities. Studies quality control reports to identify product defects and directs machine operators to adjust machines to eliminate flaws.Examines molded products from each machine to verify conformance to specifications. Conducts or directs training of new employees in machine operation. Confers with management and other supervisors to resolve production problems. Ensures safety requirements are met by enforcing the use of personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, etc.) and requiring team members to keep work areas clean and uncluttered.Other duties may be assigned. 15 or more direct reports Authority to change Production Schedule Communicate operator's non-conformance, verbally and in writing. Utilize all Production Staff to meet customer requirement and reduced waste. Ability to issue Disciplinary Action Qualifications and Experience

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Experience in Leadership and Supervision skill. 4 Years' Experience in Injection Molding and/or similar work experience. Must have excellent attendance record. Ability to work safely and with minimal supervision Ability to clearly communicate and interact with all levels of personnel professionallyAbility to follow written and verbal directions and complete work independently Ability to adhere to workplace rules. Able to communicate and write in English, with Basic Math skill. Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds Standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling. Possibility of exposure to noise, uncontrolled temperatures, and chemicals
