Location: Saint Louis, MO

Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday, day off based on department needs)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Start Date: ASAP

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Position Summary

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist – R.T.(R)(CT)ARRT to support high-acuity imaging operations in a fast-paced, high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment. The ideal candidate will bring experience in complex inpatient and outpatient settings and will perform CT procedures with exceptional attention to safety, precision, and patient care.

As part of an advanced radiology team, you'll work with Siemens scanners, support trauma and emergency departments, and be responsible for performing a wide range of scans, including neuro, MSK, and vascular studies. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and deliver impactful diagnostic imaging in one of the most dynamic hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

Perform CT scans including: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstructions.

Operate all Siemens CT scanners; ensure accurate imaging and safety compliance.

Administer contrast media and perform IV starts and venipuncture as needed.

Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary teams in trauma and critical care units.

Document procedures accurately in the EPIC system and ensure PACS image integrity.

Support quality assurance and radiation safety standards.

Float within the CT service line if needed.

Required Qualifications

Certification: ARRT (R)(CT) – Must be current and in hand at time of submittal

Experience: Minimum 2 years of CT experience in high-acuity or trauma settings

Certifications: BLS (AHA required)

Technology: Proficiency with Siemens CT scanners and PACS

Preferred Experience

Previous work in a Level I Trauma Center

Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient workflows

Experience in procedures including:

Aspirations & biopsies

Colonography

Drainage

Myelography

Brain perfusion & transplant studies

Scrubs: Black, Red, or White

Floating: Within service line only

On-Call: Not required

Weekends: Every other weekend

Parking Information

Monthly passes range $63–$73 depending on location

Orientation parking: Laclede Garage ($15 fee, not reimbursed)

Night shifts: Free parking in employee lots

Rotating day/night: $70/month parking fee
