Description
Job Description The Software Product Manager works directly with various product managers on short and long-term planning for both existing and new software solutions. Responsible for writing operational requirements for software solutions including design, documentation and verification of features and functionality. Provides technical support assistance and training for support of new features and functionality. Works directly with customers to determine market needs, run customer research efforts, and to determine competitive environment needs. Is an active member of an Agile development scrum team within software development process and is a key part of the decision-making group to assess risk of various projects alongside project manager, software developers, QA managers, and other stakeholders such as the Product Portfolio Managers.

Responsibilities: Understand and capture customer needs via user stories/requirements Work with software team to deliver valuable solutions on time Actively manage a backlog for software products/projects Lead customer exchanges and discovery efforts Effectively follows existing MiTek best practices in software developmentUnderstand and leads software implementation practices Stay current with software technologies and standards in software development Demonstrate strong understanding of the industry relevant to their product responsibilities Clearly convey project status and progress toward milestones Drive project timing and key deliveriesQualifications:

Bachelors degree in a related field required, equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis 2+ years of experience in product management, specifically working with software productsExcellent planning, communication, and collaboration skills. Strong communication skills to interact frequently with stakeholders and clients Ability to bring clarity and order to competing priorities and unclear customer needs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Passion for learning new technologies and brainstorming ideas with a wide range of stakeholders and customers Ability to foster new and existing relationships with a variety of personality types. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Preferred Qualifications:
