Position Summary:  

The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the design, debugging and assembly of new production tooling and equipment according to the organizational standards.

Responsibilities:
Mechanical Designer Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert in the design, assembly and debugging of new production tooling and equipment

Optimize current production tooling and equipment.

Develop and implement equipment and tooling design and organization standards.

Estimate production costs, efficiencies, cost saving methods, and the effects of tooling/equipment design changes on cost and efficiency.

Document current installed tooling and equipment base.

Support and comply with Cretex Medical Quality System, ISO 13485 and when required medical device requirements.

Monitor the utilization of employee safety and OE programs

Support and comply with the company’s Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements

Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work

Partner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance

Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve

Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly

Participate in the Operational Excellence Program

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications:
Requirements: 

2-year Design related degree

Experience: 3 years

Working knowledge of mechanical parts as well as computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks

CNC programming knowledge a plus

Able to work mechanically and troubleshoot equipment

Ability to consistently achieve short and long term business results

Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable

Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail

Organizational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Preferred Requirements:

Hands on experience with typical tool room / machine shop equipment.

Able to work in dynamic environment and manage iterative design & fabrication processes.

Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations

Pay Range:
USD $35.38 - USD $44.23 /Hr.

20+hours:
