Responsibilities/Job Description:
Fairview Range is hiring a Driver for our Transportation Department in Hibbing, MN.

 

The STS Driver offers efficient and secure non-emergency transportation for physically challenged individuals within the state of Minnesota. This role also includes the performance of internal professional courier services to support organizational operations as required.

 

Schedule: This position will work 80 hours per two weeks. Primarily 8 - hour day shifts with rotating evening/night/weekend/vacation on call.

As a Driver, you are responsible for: 

Performing duties of an NEMT STS Driver in accordance with established MNDOT Special Transportation Service guidelines and requirements.

Driving and escorting clients between residence and approved destination in a safe and efficient manner.

Maintaining courteous and helpful communication with clients and Dispatch to promote customer services and satisfaction within the program.

Demonstrating knowledge of safety-related work policies and requirements and following all proper procedures in the event of accident or injury during transport of client. Reporting all safety related issues to supervisor/system promptly.

Accurate and detailed recordkeeping and applicable trip logs and required information.

Performing duties of Courier including collecting and distributing interdepartmental correspondence, supplies, and essential items including laboratory samples, pharmaceuticals and other items to appropriate destinations as directed and required.

Providing backup support for Scheduling and Dispatching as needed.

Required Qualifications

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

Must be 21 years of age or older on the date of hire.

Ability to obtain necessary passenger assistance, defensive driving and first aid training.

Valid MN Driver's License with excellent driving record

Special Transportation Service qualified within 45 days of hire

Complete applicable ARUP certification during probationary period

Preferred Qualifications

Computer literacy, including experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word

Qualifications:
$17.68-$25.28 Hourly
