Join a cutting‑edge precision manufacturing team as a Swiss CNC Machinist , where you’ll set up, program, and operate advanced CNC Swiss machines to produce complex, tight‑tolerance components. Work in a modern, nearly paperless environment built around technology, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
This role offers flexibility based on experience and shift preference:
- First Shift: Hybrid setup/programming with opportunities to lead within the Swiss machining department
- Second Shift: Highly independent, self‑directed production ownership throughout overnight operations
- Interpret blueprints , routers, and GD&T to understand specifications, tolerances, and machining sequences
- Plan machining strategies, including material selection and order of operations
- Select, install, and align cutting tools for turning, drilling, grooving, threading, and cutoff
- Program CNC Swiss machines using G‑code and CAM software (feeds, speeds, offsets, toolpaths)
- Perform full machine setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments to maintain consistent, high‑quality output
- Inspect first‑piece and in‑process parts using micrometers , calipers , indicators, and comparators
- Monitor machine performance and cutting conditions, making real‑time adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
- Conduct routine checks throughout production, including independent overnight monitoring on second shift
- Clean, prepare, and package finished parts per blueprint and router requirements
- Create detailed setup sheets and document machining parameters for repeatability
- Organize and maintain tooling, fixtures, and CNC programs
- Update routers and process documentation to improve cycle times and accuracy
- Use shop‑floor computers for job tracking, blueprint access, and digital documentation
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines and tooling
- Maintain a clean, organized, safety‑focused work area
- Follow ISO 9001 and AS9100 procedures
- Identify and implement improvements related to quality, efficiency, and safety
- Communicate clearly across shifts and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Proven hands‑on experience as a Swiss CNC Machinist , including setup and programming
- Strong proficiency in G‑code and CNC controls
- Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T
- Solid math foundation (geometry, algebra, trigonometry)
- Deep knowledge of:
- Swiss machine capabilities and limitations
- Cutting tools and tool selection
- Work holding and fixturing
- Speeds, feeds, and material cutting behavior
- Skilled with precision inspection tools
- Comfortable in a digital, paperless manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- High‑precision production Swiss machining
- CAM software (GibbsCAM, PartMaker)
- Hybrid setup/programming roles
- Independent second‑shift production support
- Automation or robot‑tended Swiss machines; multi‑machine operation a plus
- ISO 9001 / AS9100 environments
- Demonstrated process‑improvement contributions

This is a Permanent position based out of Oakdale, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $96000.00/yr.
Up to 3% 401k match, 8 Healthcare plan options, PTO 2 weeks the first year, 3 weeks @ 2, building up to 6 weeks @ 15yrs. ( Can be flexible for right candidate with years)
